Rebecca Elbogen
Program Director & Head Coach
Rebecca graduated Summa Cum Laude from NYU with a degree in Developmental Psychology and specializations in Child/Adolescent Mental Health Studies and American Sign Language (ASL). She was a Presidential Honors Scholar, member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, and an honors student and lab manager at the NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Lab.
Rebecca’s deep connection to learning started young; she declared her dream of becoming a teacher in kindergarten, worked as a peer-tutor and assistant teacher from middle school throughout college, and continues to teach and tutor a variety of subjects. Her tutoring expertise includes Writing, Social Sciences, ASL, and Math (K-8th grade). Rebecca also combines her training in psychology and education as an organizational and executive function coach, especially for teens and young adults with ADHD, Autism, and various Learning Differences.
In addition to her academic work, Rebecca, a classically trained dancer, established and directed the NYC branch of Ballet For All Kids, a non-profit program making dance accessible to kids of all abilities and disabilities. She was honored to be a “New Yorker of the Week” on Spectrum 1 News and interviewed for the New York Times and VICE for her work in accessible arts education.
Rebecca’s comprehensive and compassionate approach to education aims to understand each student as a multi-faceted individual so she can thoughtfully support their learning and development. She strives to nurture self-expression and empowerment, in academics, in the dance studio, and beyond.
