What We Do
Our Process
-
We begin by learning about a client’s strengths and needs in as much detail as possible. We conduct an initial 90-minute intake process.
This leads to a comprehensive coaching assessment and individualized plan. We think deeply and holistically about our clients while establishing coaching goals.
Our coaches will bolster strategies that are specific to each client’s psychological and learning context.
-
An authentic coaching relationship is the most important factor for success with our method. We prioritize relationship building above all else as the client moves through these stages.
Contemplation: realizing some urgency and benefit to change as well as the need for support and accountability
Collaboration: identifying an effective partner in change and crafting a thorough plan with actionable steps
Rehearsal: practicing plans and new skills by using feedback that focuses on process as much as outcome
Remoralization: feeling capable and competent again after successfully rehearsing and executing plans
Growth: working through inevitable setbacks and getting inspired to tackle more complex goals
-
Coaches regularly collaborate with our leadership team to develop and optimize a tailored plan.
We provide clients or families with periodic updates to keep track of progress and help you understand the coaching plan.
Our Services
-
Our detailed evaluation process involves a series of surveys and an in-depth intake session in order to fully understand our client's strengths and needs.
We think deeply and holistically about each client in order to develop a comprehensive Executive Function assessment and individualized recommendations.
-
Most clients benefit from hour-long coaching sessions once or twice a week. For students, this can also include Academic Tutoring and specific subject support.
During each session, a coach and client discuss and work through the most pressing and achievable goals for that day or week while keeping in mind the client’s broader goals.
In addition to modeling and rehearsing skills in session, coaches identify opportunities for the client to practice these skills throughout the week and can provide customized resources or tools.
-
Some clients benefit from more frequent contact with a coach in order to help them identify and stay accountable for their goals.
We craft an individualized weekly plan that includes 1-2 longer goal-setting and work sessions, and 3-5 shorter check-in sessions.
The coach also provides more frequent text and email communication to help the client problem-solve and maintain momentum in real time.
-
We have developed a variety of short-term coaching programs and workshops that are more focused on certain academic skills or life stages, all through an Executive Function lens.
